I want to publish a fiction book with my 15 year old friend, I am 13. Can this happen?
Amanda J asked:
We are both very good writers, we know all the things and all the time you must go through to see if this can happen and neither of us are going to give up…how likely would it be for us to get taken seriously?

There are plenty of publishers on the web. Submit your work, with your parents approval and you may get lucky.
Anything is possible and you should be taken seriously if your story is good. Get with your parents and have them help. With their backing you should be able to get a publisher to listen.
If your story is really good then why should’nt it get published? It dosent matter how old you are as much as the quality of the writing. Good Luck!!!
Sure it can! I think “Eragon” was published when the author was 15 and look how good it did for him. Just make sure you get a really good agent.
If you’re good, you’ll be taken seriously. Work on your story, but also work on the business end. Have your parents help you look for an agent and send out query letters. Do research on submission guidelines and formats. Just remember, even if you’re good, it can take years and years to find the right combination of story, agent, publisher, etc., so don’t get discouraged if it doesn’t happen soon. Happy writing!
